EMELIE KATHLEEN KRUSE

Emelie Kathleen Kruse, 83, of Rayville, MO and formerly of Norborne, MO died Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Oak Ridge Nursing Home in Plattsburg, MO.

Emelie was born on February 4, 1931 in Carroll County, MO to John R. and Emelie (Schifferdecker) Wegeng. She married Wyman R. Kruse of Stet, MO on November 17, 1949; he preceded her in death on August 23, 2005.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, John Dwight Kruse of Kansas City, MO and Dwain D. and Kathy Kruse of Blue Springs, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah K. and Edward Whitmore of Richland, MO; one sister, Grace West of Norborne, MO; three grandchildren, Cameron Ryan Kruse, Darcy Kruse and Devin Kruse.

In addition to her parents, Emelie was preceded in death by one son, Wyman Douglas Kruse.

Emelie was a bookkeeper by profession in the Norborne and Kansas City areas. Emelie and Wyman were owners and operators of Kruse Berries in Rayville. She had lived in rural Norborne before moving to Rayville MO in 1976. Emelie rescued dogs.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Best Friends Animal Society.
