Apr 23, 1993 — Oct 1, 2026
Liberty, MO
Erica Rose Warren, 33, of Liberty, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Kansas University Medical Center.
Erica was born on April 23, 1993, in North Kansas City, the daughter of William James Warren, Jr. and Gina Simone. She was united in marriage to Jonathan Mykel Meints of Lexington, IL, on August 10, 2024; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: her father, Bill (Lori) Warren of Cleveland, TN; her mother, Gina Simone of Kansas City; sister, Jenna Warren of Kansas City; half-brother, Marc (Casey) Warren of Watervliet, NY; half-sister, Jessica Warren of Germany; her fur babies, Bane and Bo; her many friends and other extended family members also survive.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her uncle, David Warren, and her aunt Tricia “Trixcy” Warren-Bryant.
Erica was raised and educated in the Chicago and Frankfort Illinois areas. She went to Lincoln Way East High School in Frankfort and graduated in the class of 2011.
Erica touched the lives of so many people and made a deep and lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She knew the Lord and was never afraid of being called home, carrying with her a strong and unwavering faith that brought her peace throughout her journey.
Erica’s first reaction to her cancer diagnosis was to say, “I have to be brave.” Her many friends and family were there to support her through her battles; countless of them now proudly have the tattoo, “be brave,” a legacy to her determination.
Cancer is a terrible disease, but it never slowed Erica down or took away her desire to live life to the fullest. She was loyal, elegant, funny, and wonderfully sassy. She had a personality and spirit that made her unforgettable to those around her.
Erica loved to travel and experience new places, but she also cherished the comfort of home and the simple moments spent with the people she loved most. Some of her favorite memories were made during quiet nights at home and special date nights with her husband.
Erica will be greatly missed by so many. She left an impact on every person she ever met, and the love, laughter, kindness, and memories she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her life may have been far too short, but the mark she left on this world will never be forgotten.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Erica Warren Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
