ERNEST HARLEY BAUGHER
Ernest Harley Baugher, 84, of Lexington, Mo, died on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Mo.
Ernest was born on January 29, 1932 in Harris, Mo to Harley and Madge (Cook) Baugher. He married Lavona Jean Still of Hardin, Mo on March 15, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 10, 1997.
Survivors include; one son and his fiance', Randall Baugher and Cheryl Woods of Henrietta, Mo; 2 grandsons, Jeremy Baugher, David Baugher and his wife, Laurie; 4 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Ernest was preceded in death by, 1 son, Kenneth Baugher; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, a grandson, Daniel Joe Baugher and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Baugher.
Ernest was a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years. He was a member of the Hardin American Legion Post. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He served with the 101 st Airborne Division, receiving the Korean Service Medal, the Bronze Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was of the Christian faith. He had lived in Hardin and Richmond, before moving to Lexington in 1998.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond VFW Post # 4398.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery, where military services will be provided by the Ray County Veterans. Online condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhone.com.
