ESTHER MARGRET RECHTERMANN

Esther Margret Rechtermann, 81, of Richmond, MO and formerly of Hoskins, NE died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Esther was born on March 26, 1931 in Hosmer, SD the daughter of Diedrich and Anna (Lange) Buelter. She married Julius W. A. Rechtermann, Jr., of Mayview, MO on June 21, 1953; he preceded her in death on December 30, 2010.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Catherine Rechtermann of Richmond, James Rechtermann of Ocean City, MA and Joseph Rechtermann of Alexandria, VA; two grandsons and their spouses, Jeff and Kristina Rechtermann of Hardin, MO and Justin and Sarah Rechtermann of Polo, MO; 5 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Betty Rechtermann of Mayview, MO; two sisters-in-law, Betty Buelter of Arvada, CO and Jean Buelter of St. Louis, MO; 4 nieces, 7 nephews and many cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by two brothers, Emmanuel Buelter and Otfried Buelter; one sister, Hildegard Fenske; and one brother-in-law, Bill Fenske.
Esther graduated from Wayne High School in Wayne, NE. She then graduated from Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis , MO and worked as a Register Nurse specializing in Geriatric Care for number of years. She was a devoted preacher's wife assisting her husband with congregations in the United Church of Christ in Indiana, MO, Iowa and Illinois before retiring at Hoskins, NE in 1991.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Habitat for Humanity.
