EVELYN MELVINA CONRAD
Evelyn Melvina Conrad, 94, of Odessa, Mo, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Kindred Hospital Northland in Kansas City, Mo.
Evelyn was born on July 18, 1922 in Oak Hill, Mo to William H. and Maude May (Carter) Dueker. She married Wilbur Conrad of Mayview, Mo on April 14, 1965. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993.
Survivors include; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Langferd "Lannie" and Marilyn strickler of Ogden, Utah, Ron and Roxanne Strickler of Ogden, Utah, 1 brother Richard Dueker of Eureka, Mt, 5 grandchildren and their spouses, John and Tammy Strickler, David and Angie Strickler, Ron and Julie Strickler, Beau and Diane Strickler, Micah Strickler, 9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Dueker and George Dueker, 2 sisters, Elvira Treece and Marcella McCall and 2 grandchildren, Lanna Jo and baby boy Strickler, who both died in infancy.
Evelyn was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Centerview, Mo Countryside Church of the Nazarene, where she was the church organist for several years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and reading stories to her grandchildren. She had lived in the Odessa area most of her life. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at St. Mary's and Kindred Hospitals for the loving care that was given to Evelyn the past few years.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Centerview Countryside Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Interment will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
