EVELYN SUE WALKER

Evelyn Sue Walker, 74, of Orrick, MO died on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at her home.
Sue was born on September 8, 1938 in Camden, MO to Everett and Martha Kathryn (Campbell) Miller. She married Gilbert Russell Walker of Camden on December 15, 1956; he preceded her in death on March 1, 2001.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Cheryl Miller of Cheraw, SC; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Charlene and Stanley Moyer of Richmond, MO and Linda C. Gordon of Lexington, MO; one niece and several nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister who died in infancy.
Sue started working at the Bank of Orrick when she was in high school and retired from there in 2001 as Vice President. Sue was always there to help her community; she did bookwork for the Camden Road District, was a volunteer for the Ray County Board of Services, and helped with the Baptist Food Ministries in Orrick. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orrick. She was a lifelong member of Ray County. Sue loved to travel.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Ideal Industry's or to the donor's choice.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13 from 1:00 p.m. till service time at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
