Forrest Lee
Trindle, Jr.
May 18, 1936 — Feb 28, 2025
Forrest Lee Trindle, Jr., 88, of Richmond, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at his home.
Forrest was born on May 18, 1936, in Richmond, the son of Forrest Lee and Mollie Emeline (Casner) Trindle, Sr. He was united in marriage to Beverly Louise Parks of Richmond on May 11, 1957; she preceded him in death on July 3, 2016.
Survivors include: daughter, Lisa (Larry) Wyse of Richmond; son, Forrest L. "Skip" (Janet) Trindle, III, of Richmond; three grandchildren: Courtney (Kurtis) Surls, Aaron (Heather) Trindle, and Dylan Wyse (Elexus Sammons); and seven great-grandchildren: Olivia Surls, Owen Surls, Jenifer Wyse, Damian Wyse, Cooper Trindle, Stella Trindle, and Emersyn Trindle.
In addition to his parents and wife, Forrest was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Mae Claypole, Mary Frances Hughes, and Margaret Louise Smithey.
Forrest was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Richmond High School with the class of 1955. Shortly after, he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country from October 6, 1955, to October 5, 1959. Upon completing his service, he returned home and began working for the Ralls Company as an installer, dedicating 18 years to the trade. He then embarked on a 30-year career at Ford Motor Company, where he started as an assembler and later became a torque inspector, retiring in 1997 as a proud member of the United Autoworkers Union #249.
A man of strong values and quiet dedication, Forrest was a Mason and a member of the Camden Masonic Lodge. Above all, he was the ultimate family man—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—always ready to lend a helping hand whenever his loved ones needed him most. Never one to sit still, he enjoyed woodworking and tinkering, always keeping busy with a new project or task. He had a deep love for the outdoors and a special fondness for animals, particularly his outdoor cats, who dutifully kept the farm free of mice. Forrest's legacy is one of hard work, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to his family and the values he held dear.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Ray County. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
