FRANCES A. LEE

Frances A. Lee, 99, of Richmond, MO, died at 11:20 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Mrs. Lee was born January 3, 1916 in Vibbard, MO to William H. and Lottie L. (Covey) Clevenger. She married Oren C. Lee of Millville, MO on September 4, 1931; he preceded her in death on July 14, 1981.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse C. and Deborah Lee of Excelsior Springs, MO and Jerry Wayne and Bonnie Lee of Excelsior Springs; two daughters and one son-in-law, Patty Sue and Harry Lyon of Carrollton, MO and Carol K. Proffitt of Richmond; one sister, Jeryl Dean Jessop of Reno, NV; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; five step great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-child.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Paul Proffitt and James L. "Doc" Adams; two daughters, Billie D. Adams and one who died in infancy; two sisters, Dorthy J. McConley and Mary Kathryn Clevenger.
Mrs. Lee worked in the Dietary Department at the Ray County Memorial Hospital for several years. Frances and her husband owned and operated Lee's Grocery Store in Richmond for several years. She was a lifelong Ray County and Caldwell County resident. She was of the Christian faith. She was a 50+ year member of the O.E.S. Chapter #42 in Polo, MO.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, November 5, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. An O.E.S. service will be held at 12:30 p.m. prior to the visitation. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO.
