FRANCES LOUISE SMITH
Frances Louise Smith, 71, of Richmond, MO died Monday, May 19, 2014 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Frances was born on May 17, 1943 in Ft. Bragg, NC to Frank Arnold and Ella Louise (Basham) Schwarz, Sr. she married William Dorrell Smith of Gilman City, MO on April 7, 1961; he preceded her in death on August 11, 2006.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Diane Smith of Mission, KS and Gary and Anna Mae Smith of Richmond; twin sister, Faye Reardon of Kansas City, KS; 4 grandchildren; and her companion Billy Jo Hardwick.
In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Arnold Schwarz, Jr.
Frances was a secretary at McCalley and Gorham Law Office for several years and later was a secretary to the Ray County Presiding Circuit Judge for 15 years in Richmond. She was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church. She was also a member of the Ray County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Frances lived in Lawson, MO before moving to Richmond in 1980.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Diabetes Association or to the Cystic Fibrosis Association.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rayville Christian Union Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
