Frank Joseph Sapone Sr., 93, of Slater, MO, and formerly of Norborne, MO, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27 ^th , 2021.

Frank was born on January 3 ^rd , 1928, to Frank Joseph Sapone and Conjetta Tortorece.  He grew up with his 12 brothers and sisters in Staten Island, NY, after his parents immigrated to the United States from Sicily.

Frank volunteered and proudly served in the United States Army.  After he was honorably discharged, he met and married Essie Marie Pilcher of Kansas City, MO, on January 10 ^th , 1959.

Frank worked at Banquet Foods, as a supervisor, in Carrollton, MO, and then in Marshall, MO, until he retired.

Frank is the father of three children: Frances Viola Henderson of Trenton, TN; Toni Christina Wilson and husband Mark of Kansas City, MO; Frank Joseph Sapone, Jr. and wife Kim of Slater, MO.  Frank was a grandfather of seven and great-grandfather to 10.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie, son, James Anthony, and daughter, Angela Marie, who died in infancy.
