FRANK RUPERT STONNER, JR.
Frank Rupert Stonner, Jr., was born June 12, 1934, to Frank Rupert Stonner, Sr., and Bessie Mae (Sharp) Stonner in Lafayette Co., Mo. He passed away Dec. 26th at age 78 from complications of Parkinson's, diagnosed in 1998, and a stroke Mar. 3, 2011.
Frank married Jean Long of Orrick June 19, 1955. She survives of the home. To this union were born three children: son, Frank Rupert Stonner, III, (Cheryl) of Richmond, twin daughters: Susan Jane Karnes (Curtis) of Camden, and Sally Jean Reinhardt-Stewart (Jeff Stewart) of Lincoln, Ne., all who survive.
In addition to his children, he is survived by four grandchildren: Aaron Stonner (Shelley), Sam Stonner, John Michael Reinhardt and Jamie Gilbow, four step-grandchildren: Preston Karnes, Mason Karnes, Molly Stewart, and Lydia Owen (Ryan), five step great grandchildren: Cassie, Clayton, Bradley, Lanie and Tristin, and one great grandson, Morgan. Frank is also survived by a sister, Alta Brown of Richmond, a brother, Paul, of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Doris Drake, a niece, Barbara Chandler, and two step grandchildren.
Frank was a 1952 graduate of Richmond High School. Besides farming, he worked for General Motors, Missouri Rural Water Dept. and Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years in 1989. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local #249. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of Ada Lodge #444 A.F & A. M. He was a fifty year member of the Scottish Rite, Ararat Shrine and Past President of the Richmond Shrine Club. He was Elder Emeritus of the First Christian Church in Orrick. He had lived in the Camden area most of his life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to the Orrick First Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the South Point Cemetery near Orrick, MO.
