FRED ALLEN SMITH
Fred Allen Smith, 63, of Hardin, MO died at 5:59 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011, at his home.
Fred was born on October 12, 1948 to Kirah Dickson and Goldie Marie (Bowman) Smith. He was married to Yvonne Faulkner, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Sherry Smith of Richmond, MO, Douglas Allen Smith and his significant other, Shelly Palmer of Richmond, MO and Freddie Allen Smith, II of Hardin, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry D. and Barbara Smith of Eldon, MO; 4 grandchildren, Kyrah Smith, Katelyn Smith, Jordan Smith and Kain Smith; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Kay Smith.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his wife and one sister, Shirley J. Smith, who died in infancy.
Fred graduated from the Hardin High School in 1966. Fred was a brick layer.
He was the owner and operator of Smith Brothers Construction in Hardin for over 40 years. He was a member of the B. A. C. Union Local # 15 in Kansas City, MO. He was a member of the Hardin First Christian Church and a lifelong Ray County resident.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hardin Cemetery in Hardin, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Clark Cemetery north of Hardin.
