FREDDIE LEE SCHMITZ

Freddie Lee Schmitz, 68, of Richmond, MO died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at his home.
Freddie was born in Atlas Township, Genesee County, Michigan to William Henry and Lettie Eulala (Schmitz) Woods.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Eshleman and Teresa Drummond; one sister, Betty Taylor of Kearney, MO; and several grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by two brothers, William Joseph Schmitz and Tommy Edward Schmitz; and one sister, Karen Sue Markley.
Freddie worked at Ford Motor Company for 42 years before retiring in 2010. He was a member of the local United Auto Workers Union #249 and a member of the National Rifle Association. Freddie lived in Kansas City, MO before moving to Richmond after retiring from Ford.

Inurnment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, MO with services to be announced at a later date. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
