Frieda Arlene Wheeler, 94, of Hardin, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Frieda was born on February 24, 1924 in the Rockingham Community, near Stet the daughter of William "Bill" and Lula (Falls) Neff.  She married Frank Junior Wheeler also from the Rockingham Community on December 30, 1946.  They enjoyed 55 years of marriage and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2002.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne Wheeler of Stet and Rick and Patricia Wheeler of Hardin; two grandsons, Jason Wheeler and his wife Amy, Brian Wheeler and his wife Kristin; and 5 great-grandchildren Nolan, Mia, Adam, Eden and Hogan.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kay Wheeler in infancy, one brother, Carl Wayne Neff and one sister, Glenna Stratton.

Frieda was reared and educated in the area of her birth.  Frieda was a housewife and homemaker, Frank worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad while Frieda took care of the family and the home.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Braymer.  She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Wakenda Cemetery or the donor's choice.  They can be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main - P. O. Box 190, Richmond, 64085.
