GALE JEANNE McCARTER

Gale Jeanne McCarter, 74, of Richmond, MO went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Gale was born on March 2, 1943 in Hardin, MO to Robert and Betty Jeanne (Wilson) Ford and was raised by her grandparents, Roy and Eva Wilson. She married Jerry Don McCarter of Richmond on May 21, 1983. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Bryan  (Torey) Wall of St. Louis, MO, Shawn (Melissa) Wall of Charles City, VA and Michael Shay  (Tracy) Branstuder of Blue Springs, MO; two step-sons, Nathan  (Wendy) McCarter of Springfield, MO and Mark  (Joni) McCarter of Jefferson City; one step- daughter, Emily Lynn Hicks of Jefferson City, MO; two brothers, Wayne (Eileen) Strider of Kansas City, MO and Greg Strider; 20 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her grandparents and one brother, Gary Wilson.

Gale was a homemaker and had a successful career in the banking industry. Gale was happiest spending time with her family, baking her famous homemade pies and traveling wither her beloved best friends. Gale was a member of the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a P.E.O. service at 12:45 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date.
