GARY COLE DREW

Gary Cole Drew, 65, of Norborne, MO, died at 11:34 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield, MO.
Gary was born April 7, 1945 in Norborne to William Frank and Ethel M. (Clancy) Drew. He married Dorothy L. Bowlin of Norborne on October 15, 1966; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Renee and Kenneth Kerby of Norborne; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Larry Drew of Oklahoma City, Ok, Ronald and Cheryl of Lathrop, MO, and Jerry and Raquel of Circle Pines, MN; and two grandchildren, Erica and Lauren Kerby.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William "J.B." Drew and Buddie W. Drew.
Gary was a self-employed carpenter for 30 years before retiring in 2001. He lived in Norborne most of his life. He was a 1963 graduate of Norborne High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norborne.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Army National Guard for nine years.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the First Baptist Church of Norborne.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Norborne, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Norborne, MO. Burial will be at Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Norborne, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
