GAYLE DIANE BENEFIEL

Gayle Diane Benefiel, 69, of Norborne, MO, died on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Gayle was born on February 13, 1945 in San Bernardino, CA to Robert and Thelma (Hampshire) Jackson. She married Billy Wayne Benefiel, Sr. of Norborne, MO on November 25, 1964. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2010.
Survivors include; one son, Billy Wayne "Chug" Benefiel, Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Angel Lynn Benefiel, both of Norborne, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Stephen Rupp of Kansas City, MO and Diane and David Reid of Higginsville, MO; three brothers, Grover Jackson of Houston, TX, Robert Jackson of Garden City, MO and Burl Jackson and his wife, Loretta of Independence, MO; and two sisters, Linda Welch and her husband, Robert "B.J" of Peculiar, MO, Tammy Figge of Kansas City, MO; along with seven grandchildren, Megan and Adam Reid, Brandon and Brett Benefiel, Lauren, Hailey and Wesley Rupp.
Gayle was a homemaker. She had worked as a medical technician at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, MO. She was of the Christian faith. She had lived in Braymer, MO before moving to Norborne in 1985.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Norborne United Methodist Church.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norborne United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne.
