GENEVE M. McGINNIS

Geneva M. McGinnis, 98, of Richmond, MO, died at 1:34 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Geneva was born on January 13, 1913 in Richmond, MO to Ralph and Beulah (Coslet) Page. She married Randolph McGinnis of Richmond, MO on October 10, 1931. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1971.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Roy A. and Peggy McGinnis of West Lake, CA, two daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia and James Melton of Overland Park, KS and Linda Schlottmann of Portland, OR, one sister, Dorothy Salyer of Slater, MO, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by one son, William Thomas McGinnis, two sisters, Naomi Baine and Nadine Moore.
Geneva was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond, MO. She helped fix "Meals on Wheels" at the Eagleton Center in Richmond for several years. She also baby sat children and adults for many years. She had lived in Richmond most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Hospital for children.

Funeral services will held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
