GERALD L. CLARK
Gerald L. Clark, 72, of Richmond, MO, died at 1:51 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mr. Clark was born April 8, 1939 in Braymer, MO to Arthur Lewis and Hazel Marie (Basham) Clark. He married Joan Keller of Richmond, MO on April 15, 1960; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Tammy Clark of Richmond; one brother and sister-in-law Ernest (Butch) and Linda Sue Clark of Excelsior Springs, MO; one sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Norton Burnett of Antioch, TN; 5 Grandchildren Daniel Clark, Tyler Clark, Stacey Flowers (Tom), Heather Rodenberg and Ashley Morgan (Eric); and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Gerald was preceded in death by one son Carl Dewayne Stanton, two brother's Joseph W. Clark and infant Billy Don Clark, two sister's Donia L. Chowning and infant Janet K. Clark.
Gerald was employed by Ford Motor Company for 31 years. Gerald served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Gerald was a member of the Richmond American Legion Post #237 and the Richmond V.F.W. Post #4398. He was also a past member of the Military Honors Group for the Ray County Veterans and a past Master of the Richmond Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Richmond Church of God. He had lived most of his life in Ray County.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to either the Richmond V.F.W. or the American Cancer Society.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13 prior to services from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge of arrangements.
