Glenda was born on June 28, 1945, at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, the daughter of Marion Francis and Lorene (Davis) Stewart. She was united in marriage to Marion LeRoy Holman of Hardin on January 10, 1964; he preceded her in death on August 22, 2001.
Survivors include: son, Larry (Tina) Holman of Richmond; four grandchildren: Mamie (Josh) Wilson, Carissa (Travis) Cringan, Jessica (Jeremy) Kaat, and Casey (Megan) Holman; 12 great-grandchildren: Daniel Grosso, Jackson Cringan, Liam Cringan, Oliver Cringan, Tyler Wilson, Kaeli Wilson, Cody Wilson, Casey Holman, Julie Holler, Leo Holman, Zane Kaat, and Millie Kaat; brother, Raymond (Janet) Stewart of Lexington; and two sisters, Brenda (Gary) Marrant of Excelsior Springs and Linda Allen of Elmira.

Glenda was raised and educated in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School. She was a farm girl and enjoyed the farm lifestyle. Glenda was a hard worker and could out work most of the boys and men on the farm; she was naturally a busy body. She loved animals and would bring all the strays home if she could. In addition to working on the farm, she also worked for Price Candy in Richmond, as a cook at the Ray County Hospital, and at Lake City Arsenal. Glenda was the family picture taker and recorder of family get-togethers, chasing you around with her camcorder. She loved her Mountain Dew. Glenda will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Todd's Chapel Church or Cemetery. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
