HAROLD EUGENE RICHARDSON

Harold Eugene Richardson, 62, of Milan, MO died at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the North East Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.
Eugene was born on May 2, 1949 in Torrence, CA to Harold Oakley and Marian (Debiase) Richardson. He married Lisa Vandiver of Troy, MO on November 20, 1982; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his mother, Marian Robinson of Lexington, MO, one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Vandiver Richardson and Cassandra of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Rachel Richardson of Milan, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Brenda Richardson of Richmond; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Debbie Danner and her significant other, Joe Proctor and Sandy and Jessie Wilson of Lexington, MO; four grandchildren, Jacob Campbell, Jordan Campbell, Rebekah Ellis and Arianna Vandiver.
Eugene was preceded in death by his father.
Eugene worked for the Sullivan County Ambulance District as an administrator for 8 years and the EMS for over 30 years. He was a Catholic. He had lived in Milan, MO for the last 8 years. He was a 1967 graduate from Richmond High School. Eugene was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Missouri Ambulance Association.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Disabled Veterans.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, MO, and also 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial with military honors and EMS honors will be held in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO
