HAROLD W. "GOODIE" BEST

Harold W. "Goodie" Best, 70, of Richmond, Mo died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Goodie was born on April 26, 1944 in Richmond, Mo to I. D. and Almeda E. (Nutter) Best. He married Anita R. Henderson of Richmond, Mo on June 7, 1975; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; one daughter, Melissa Stockton of Richmond, Mo, one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kathy Best of Richmond, Mo, one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jerry Narron of Kearney, Mo, 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth Paige Best-Brooks and Brycen Wayne Stockton.

In addition to his parents, Goodie was preceded in death by 1 sister, Virginia Luehrs.

Goodie was owner and operator of Best Fastener and Supply in Kansas City for several years. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He lived in Richmond most of his life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family's choice.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date.
