Harold Edwin Pyle, 76, of Richmond, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Harold was born on April 24, 1944, in Elmer, the son of Truman Louis and Ida May (Pollack) Pyle. He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Gibson of Hardin on August 27, 1966; they later divorced.
Survivors included: daughter, Kim (Jimmie) Williamson of Richmond; son, Troy (Jill) Pyle of Richmond; 4 grandsons: Dillon (Ashley) Williamson, Collin (Rachel) Williamson, Tyler Pyle and Joshua Pyle; two brothers: Earl Pyle and Larry Pyle both of Manhattan, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Louie Pyle, Virgil Pyle and Dean Pyle; three sisters: Mae Malone, Thelma McDaniel and June Borden.
Harold attended grade school in Henrietta, then graduated from Lexington High School in 1962. Harold worked for 30 years as an auto worker for General Motors; first at the Leeds Plant in Kansas City then at Lordstown, Ohio for a few years until he retired and returned to Richmond. He was a proud member of the UAW Local #31. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed training his own hunting dogs - pointers, setters and labs. Harold was a very giving man, emotional and tendered hearted. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. They can be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Interment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
