HARRY R. DALE
Harry Robert Dale, 82, of Richmond, MO died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Harry was born on September 2, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to Fredrick Joseph and Evelyn May (Roark) Dale. He married Janet O'Dell of Richmond on July 25, 2008. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, Fredrick Dale of Kansas City, MO; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Gina and Dan Rich of College Station, TX and Shannon and Paul Kohake of Leawood, KS; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jackie Dale of Dallas, TX; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy George of North Kansas City, MO and Barbara and Bill Bonner of Stockton, MO; 8 grandchildren; Joshua and (Sarah) Roper, Amy and (Tommy) McArthur, Anthony Dale, Oliver Dale, Spencer Dale, Alex Kohake, Caroline Kohake and Layla Kohake; 4 great-grandchildren, Zach, Andie, Danny and Eli Roper; one step-son and step-daughter-in-Law, Tom and Lisa Millsap of Richmond; one step-daughter, Penny Millsap of Richmond; step-grandchildren, Sabin Millsap, Brogan Millsap, Korbin (James) Kirkendoll, Hannah Millsap, Kameron and Payton Carmichael, Kristin and Kaylee Vantrump.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by one grandson, Andy Roper.
Harry was a United States Navy Veteran. Harry was a Kansas City Firefighter for 10 years, Local # 42. He worked for the Kansas City Credit Bureau and was owner and operator of a credit union in Kansas City. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Kansas City Northland Elks Lodge #2376.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kansas City Northland Elks Lodge#2376.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans. An Elk Lodge service will be at 12:45 p.m. prior to the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
