HELEN L. SCHWEDER

Helen L. Schweder, 93 years old formally of Norborne, MO passed from this life to the next peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in her room at Shirkey Nursing Home in Richmond, MO with her pastor and cousin and his wife by her side.
Helen was born on May 28, 1920 near Norborne to Fred H. and Minnie (Beckemeier) Goetting. On June 6, 1920 she was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne. She married Marc V. Schweder who preceded her in death on June 18, 1997. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church all her life and for many years was the organist also playing for countless weddings and funerals. Helen also worked at the Carroll County ASC office in Carrollton until her retirement.
In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Roland "Buck" and Elmer Goetting and one nephew Ralph Goetting preceded Helen in death.
Survivors include four nieces and their children. Carolyn Coleman, Jefferson City, MO. Marilyn Kelly, Osawatomi, KS. Rosaland "Rosie" Sapp, Ashland, MO. and Georgene Gann, St Louis, MO. and cousins including, Beckemeiers, Bradshaw, Goettings, Heils, and Moentmanns.

Services will be on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne with the pastor, Rev. Kim L. Scharff officiating.
Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery north of Norborne. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne.
