HELEN LOUISE WEHMEIR

Helen Louise Wehmeir, 95, of Richmond, MO was promoted to glory on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.
Helen was born on April 19, 1921 in Hardin, MO the daughter of Jacob Luther and Elsie Mae (Minnick) Van Pelt. She was united in marriage to Lester Benton Wehmeir of Tipton, MO on December 6, 1947; he preceded her in death on July 23, 1984.
Survivors include: One son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Venita Wehmeir of Fredericksburg, VA; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Larry Foster of Richmond; six grandchildren, Bridget Brightwell (Aaron), Tiffany Shroyer (Thomas), David Wehmeir, Zane Wehmeir, Tina Wehmeir, and Dennis Wehmeir; two great grandchildren, Abigail Brightwell, Austin O'Brien, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul David Wehmeir and Jerald Wayne Wehmeir and one sister, Dorothy Mae White.
Helen was a housewife and homemaker. She lived in the Richmond area most of her life. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family, gardening, being with friends and loved to laugh.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Helen Louise Wehmeir memorial fund.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. till service time.
