HELEN L. WILLIAMS

Helen L. Williams, 66, of Richmond, MO died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home.
Helen was born on April 20, 1948 in Hardin, MO to Gailon Eldridge and Blanche Murlean (Bell) Walker. She married Fredrick W. Adams of Leavenworth, KS on June 29, 1968. After this marriage dissolved, she married James F. Williams of Shelbyville, TN on July 7, 1983; he preceded her in death on May 22, 1986.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Gregory W.K. and Christina M. Walker of Olathe, KS and Stacey Amiel and Celeste Adams of Olathe, KS; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Kym Yvette Rochelle and Frank Ross of Liberty, MO, Lisa Marie and Terence Rusan of St. Louis, MO and Jamie Louise and Matthew Jackson of Portsmouth, VA; one brother, Ronnie Walker of Richmond; three sisters, Faye Donna Adams of Leavenworth, KS, Katherine Y. Walker of Richmond and Janetta Elizabeth Boyd of Richmond; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by two sisters, Jimmie Lee Walker and Marilyn V. Walker; one sister-in-law, Pamela K. Walker; and one brother-in-law, Joseph F. Adams.
Helen graduated from Richmond High School in 1965 and was awarded an academic scholarship that was used to attend Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO for 2 years. She worked at Ray County Memorial Hospital as an assistant physical therapist, Shirkey Leisure Acres as a nurse?s aide and performed several years of home health care. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Richmond, MO from 1975 to present. She held several church offices including Deaconess, choir member, church mission member, trustee member and Sunday school teacher. Helen was also very active assisting with church programs. Helen was well known and had many friends throughout the community. Her signature trait was the giving of herself, her time and her resources to those in need. She opened her home to various friends her whole life to share her blessings to those she loved and cared about.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Second Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Second Baptist Church. Inurnment will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens.
