HENRY ROBERT LEE

Henry Robert Lee, 79, of Richmond, died Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Henry was born on March 27, 1941, to Cecil Lee and Helen Ellis (Campbell) Lee in Bonner Springs, Kansas.  He was united in marriage on September 2, 1989 to Frances Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnson of Mayview

He moved to Richmond, MO at an early age attended Lincoln Grade School and graduated from Richmond High School.  He served 6 years in the United States Navy and received the Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Medal, and received the Vietnam Service Medal with Marine Corps Emerald.  He attended Penn Valley College and worked for union Carbide and Praxair for 28 years and retired in 2002.

Survivors include: his wife, Jackie Lee of the home, one daughter, Michelle Lee Johnson (DeAndre`) of Grain Valley; two step children, Thomas Edward Miller of Warrensburg and Cynthia Rena Harvey of Branson; two sisters, Genevieve Sanchez (Robert) and Emma Sweet both of Denver, CO; one aunt, Mary King of Kansas City; two grandchildren, MaKayla Nicole Johnson and DeAndre` Nicholas Johnson JR of Grain Valley, one step grandchild Xaiver Zaequan Quandre Harvey of Branson; many nieces and nephews and host of cousins and friends, and a very special friend, Russell Allen.

Henry was an active member of John W Carter Lodge #180 P M he enjoyed fishing, reading and sports.  He was a good family man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Lonnie Lee; and one sister Cecelia Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 2, 2020 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. when a masonic service will be held prior to funeral services.
