HERBERT JOHN ANDORF

Herbert John Andorf, 81, of Richmond, MO and formerly of Sacramento, CA died at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the North Kansas City Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Herbert was born on November 13, 1929 in Brookfield, IL to John W.F. and Florence I. (Kolzow) Andorf. He married Audrey Jean Lieser of Westmount, IL; they later divorced.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathryn J. and Joseph Barlow, Jr. of Hardin, MO and Linda L Snyder of Fresno, CA; six grandchildren and their spouses, Kathryn C. and Donald Lauf, Jr., Jeffery D. and Jessica Jacobson, Robert A. Carpenter, Joseph R. and Renee Hetzer, Jason K. and Heather Hetzer and Brandon and Hilda Snyder; 11 great-grandchildren, Jennifer L. Lauf, Carol J. Lauf, Joshwa D. Jacobson, Spence B. Carpenter, Hunter Hetzer, Holly Hetzer, Raven Hetzer, Jason Hetzer, Jr., Gavin Hetzer, Bella Hetzer and Kylee Snyder; and one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Yoskio Andorf of Elk Grove, CA.
In addition to his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Andorf.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Herbert was a Textile Finisher for Champion Textiles in La Cygne, KS before retiring in 1971. He was of the Christian faith. He had lived in California for 26 years before moving to Richmond in 2007


Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
