JACK L. GROSS
Jack L. Gross, 76, of Rayville, MO died at 3:45 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
Jack was born on July 12, 1934 in Marysville, KS to John W. and Theresa (Bell) Gross. He married Ruth A. Parks of Moundville, MO on November 18, 1960; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cheryl Gross of Kansas City, KS; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy Gross of Merriam, KS and Karen and Richard McFee of Excelsior Springs, MO; two grandchildren, Tiffany McFee and Tyler McFee; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Vera Gross of San Antonio, TX; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Terri and Gary Krejdl of Lincoln, NE and Margie and Jerry Krause of Denton, NE; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, Pat Gross and Jim Gross.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital's for Children or to the March of Dimes.
Jack was an assembler for 30 years at the Ford Motor Company before retiring in 1991. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the U.A.W. Union Local #249. He was a member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge #57 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of the Richmond Shrine Club and the Ararat Temple and its Directors Staff. Jack had lived most of his life in the Rayville area.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond with military services conducted by the Ray County Veterans. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, where Masonic services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
