JACKIE JUNIOR " JACK" WALLACE , JR.

Jackie Junior "Jack" Wallace, Jr., 84, of Richmond, Mo, died on Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home.

Jack was born on April 8, 1932 in Jerico Springs, Mo to Harry and Mildred (Scantlin) Wallace. He married Norma Jean Beeson of Nevada, Mo. They later divorced. He then married Florence O. Lusby of Orrick, Mo on August 29, 1980. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; 1 son, Larry Wallace and his special friend Pam Flake of Merriam, Ks, 1 daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Greg Spillman of Lone Jack, Mo, 1 stepson and his wife, Steve and Rosalyn Karl of Edmond, Ok, 2 stepdaughters, Elaine Pedockie and her husband, Eddie of Excelsior Springs, Mo, Terri Butts and her husband, Steve of Richmond, 1 son-in-law, Dennis Allen of Moundville, MO, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and ex-wife, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Dean Wallace, a daughter, Jacqueline Deann Allen, 1 brother, Harold Dean Wallace and a sister, Patsy Ann Ewing.

Jack was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He then served 35 years in the Army National Guard before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the American Legion Post #237.  He was a 1950 graduate of Sheldon (Mo) High School. He worked at the Nike Base in Lawson. He was a member of the Richmond Christian Chapel. He was a member of Ray Lodge #223 A .F. & A. M. in Camden, Mo. He was also a member of Richmond Lodge #208 IOOF.  Jack kept statistical charts for the Hardin football team for 48 years. He lived most of his life in Ray County.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or to the Richmond Christian Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, where masonic services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Ray County Veterans.
