JAMES ALAN "JIMMY" CARR
James Alan "Jimmy" Carr, 54, of Norborne, MO died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO.
Jimmy was born on June 9, 1962 in Waverly, MO to Gerald D. and Sara Lee (Bisbee) Carr. He first married Julie Loraine Jellum of Richmond on April 23, 1983. She preceded him in death on December 18, 1984. He later married Anita L. Werle of Orrick, MO on June 14, 1986. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; his mother, Sara Lee Hogan of Norborne; two sons and their significant others, Brandon Carr and Jodie of Holt, MO and Patrick Carr and Alexis of Kansas City, MO; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vickie and Johnny McGinnis of Hardin, MO and Valerie and George Acree of Polo, MO; 3 grandchildren, Rylee Jo Carr, Kierra Dawn Simmons and Emery Grace Carr; two step-brothers, Bentley Hogan and his wife, Cheryl of Norborne, MO and Greg Hogan and his wife, Carla of Richmond; one step-sister, Ann Eiserer and her husband, George of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Gerald D. Carr; step-father, Billy Hogan; and one brother, Jerry Carr.
Jimmy was a 1981 graduate from Stet High School. He worked for She Digs It in Blue Springs, MO as a heavy equipment operator. He had also worked for Kissick Construction. He was a member of the Operators Union Local #101. Jimmy lived in Stet and Norborne areas most of his life. He was of the Christian faith. Jimmy loved riding horses with his grandchildren and also enjoyed roping.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the James A. "Jimmy" Carr memorial fund.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date.
