Obituary

James Lawrence "Jim" Wille, 91, of Norborne, died Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home.

Jim was born on April 1, 1927, in Norborne, the son of Frank Henry and Mary Beulah (Edminson) Wille. Jim was united in marriage to Viola Mae (Craig) Albrecht of Norborne on July 9 1958; she preceded him in death on August 22, 2017.

Survivors include: two sons and two daughters-in-law, Bernard and Elizabeth Albrecht of Norborne and Donnie and Theresa Albrecht of Norborne; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Ernie Erbschloe of Columbia, and Carol and William Norton of Osage City; 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren; and his twin sister, Mary Lou Sullivan of Carrollton.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George Wille, Joe Wille, Charles Wille and one sister Helen Schray.

Jim was a highly respected farmer in and around the Norborne community. People have remarked that they always know whose fields are Jim Wille's because they are cleanest with the best looking crops and maintained ditches. Not only was Jim respected for his farming, but also for the numerous hours he served on area boards including Ray-Carroll, Sacred Heart Parish Council, The Norborne School Board, Norborne Home Savings and Loan and as a member of The Knights of Columbus.

Prior to his marriage, Jim opened his home to 3 nephews; David "Pete" Wille, Joe Wille and Tony Wille so they could finish their high school years in a rural setting. He enjoyed the time he shared with them.

When not in the field or puttering around on his Gator, Jim enjoyed watching football, John Wayne movies and especially PBS political broadcasts. And as an avid reader he spent much time reading news and farming publications.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Shirkey Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Jim. Especially Rishanda Webb who not only lovingly cared for Jim during his final days, but also Viola during hers.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to either Help Services of Carrollton or to the Donor's Choice.
