JAMES P. "JIM"DAVIDSON

James P. "Jim" Davidson, 75, of Norborne, MO died on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Jim was born on January 14, 1937 in Lake View Community in Norborne to Lawrence W. and Jewell Mae (Edgar) Davidson. He married Theresa A. Flakne of Carrollton, MO on June 17, 1981. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include two sons, Ian James Davidson of Norborne and Stewart Andrew Davidson of Norborne; one daughter, Sarah Kathleen Davidson of Adrian, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Danny and Susie Davidson of Hardin, MO and Donald and Carol Davidson of Norborne, MO; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Margaret Smith of Carrollton, MO and Linda and Chuck Bultman of Carrollton; one grandson, James "Bo" Alexander; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Freeman.
Jim was self-employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 40 years. He was a member of the Richmond Faith Lutheran Church. He had lived in the Norborne and Hardin areas most of his life. Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Hardin American Legion Post and a former member of the Fort Osage and the Crooked River Muzzleloaders Association. Jim built and flew radio controlled airplanes.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the James P. "Jim" Davidson memorial fund.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, MO. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans. Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne is in charge of the arrangements.
