JAMES GARLAND PRICE

The sunrise of his life began on March 4, 1947; The sunset of his life came about 11:00 a.m. on December 12, 2012, At home surrounded by his mother. Jimmy as he was known was born to Florence West Price and Ralph Delmar Price Sr. in Richmond, MO. Jimmy was the second child of this union. Jimmy was educated in the Richmond School District. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. After finishing his schooling, he held several jobs working as a cook for several restaurants in the Excelsior Springs and Liberty, Mo area. He married Verna Ann Morris, and to this union there where 5 children, Terry Price (Doris) of Fayetteville, N.C., Tyra Cahill (Louis) of Carrollton, MO, Anthony Price (Jennifer) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Rayjon "Winkie" Price of Liberty, MO, April Wilson of Tampa, Fl. He is survived by his mother, Florence Wilkins and his 5 children. 2 sisters, Pamela Allen (Ron) of Kansas City, MO, Frances D. Wilkins of St. Louis, MO of St. Louis, MO, 1 sister-in-law, Katherine Hines of Kansas City, MO. 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Delmar Price Sr. Stepfather, Andrew Wilkins, 3 brothers, Ralph Delmar Price Jr., Homer Price and Edward Wilkins, 2 sisters, Kathy D. Allen and Connie K. Price, Grandparents, Catherine and Buzz West and Homer and Isaiah Price. 3 Aunts, Barbara Jean West, Clara C. Blackburn and Josephine K. Taylor. The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Ray County Hospice provided to Jimmy for the past several months.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Jimmy leaves a host of Nieces and Nephews and other relatives, and some extra close buddies, Milton Bratton, Lon (Skip) Allen, Russell Allen Sr., R.W. Crowley, and Leon Allen, Terry Elliett, Jimmy will be missed by all who knew him, Rest in Peace Jimmy.
