JAMES DEAN TAYLOR
James Dean Taylor, 77, of Lawson, MO died Friday, July 24, 2015 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.
James was born on February 28, 1938 in New Brighton, PA the son of Herlus Laverne and Josephine (Drotleff) Taylor. He married Ruth Maxine Keen of Polo, MO on October 8, 1960; she preceded him in death on February 12, 2013.
Survivors include one son, Ray Deleno Holder of Richmond, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie and Kevin Stanley of Richmond and Vickie and Pat Daeley of Anaheim, CA; one brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Connie Taylor of Garden Grove, CA; one sister and brother-in-law Marge and Norman LeFebvere of Buena Park, CA; four grandchildren, Carolyn Marie Edward-Knight, Michael Ray Daeley, Kevin James Stanley and Samantha Terin Stanley; and three great-grandchildren, Jessica Jordan Edwards, Patrick James Edwards and King Kevin Stanley.
James was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
James and Maxine lived most of their married life in southern California before moving to Missouri in June of 1989. While in Missouri James work as an armored truck driver for Brink's, from where he retired. After retirement he drove school bus for Plattsburg schools. He enjoyed tinkering with things especially, cars, trucks, and motor cycles. He loved air planes. He was of the Christian faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
