JEAN C. FLEXTER

Jean C. Flexter, 84, of Richmond, MO died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

Jean was born on March 11, 1930 in Monticello, KY to Eddie E. and Della Mae (Gregory) Crabtree. She married Thomas Scott Flexter of Wayne County, IL on August 14, 1949. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include three sons and three daughters-in-law, Greg and Jane Flexter of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas S. Jr., and Frankie Flexter of Grain Valley, MO and Eddie A. and Maria Flexter of Desoto, KS; one daughter, Deborah S. Flexter of Richmond; 7 grandchildren, Tracey George, Melissa Miller and her significant other, Charlie Norris, Michael Flexter and his wife, Brooke, Becky Sears and her husband, Trice, James Flexter, Katie Flexter and Andrew Flexter; and 6 great-grandchildren, Logan Schreier, Isabelle Sears, Hannah Norris, Gabe Flexter, Evan Flexter and Zach Flexter.

Jean was a 1948 graduate from Cisne, IL. She was a sales clerk in Richmond for 31 years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Richmond Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday school for several years. Jean was a former board member of the Richmond Senior Center. She loved oil painting. Jean had lived in Cisne, IL before moving to Richmond in 1965.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Richmond.
