Jeffrey David
Baxter
Jun 2, 1960 — Feb 25, 2025
Jeffrey David Baxter, 64, of Norborne, Missouri was called to his eternal home on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025.
Jeff was born June 2nd, 1960, in Waverly, Missouri, the son of Gary and Ventia (Winfrey) Baxter. Raised in Stet, Missouri, he worked on the farm and with cattle from a young age. Some men are born to be farmers, and Jeff Baxter was one of them. He purchased his first tractor at age 14 - a '74 International, which he owned and operated until the last of his days. After graduating from Stet High School in 1978, he studied agriculture at the University of Missouri, Columbia where he became a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity. In 1993, Jeff married Barbara (Famuliner) Baxter, and established their lifelong home in Norborne, Missouri where they raised their three daughters on the family farm.
As an avid outdoorsman, Jeff Baxter had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and wildlife. He was a member of the Carroll County Cattlemen's Association, member of the Carroll County Bow Hunters, and honorary founder of the Turkey Creek Hunting Club.
Jeff Baxter was known for his resilience, fearless spirit, and sense of humor. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact his legacy had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jeff Baxter is survived by his wife, Barbara, three daughters, Cheyenne, Austin, and Morgan, and mother, Venita (Winfrey) Baxter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Baxter, and brother, Larry (Doug) Baxter.
