Jeffrey "Jeff" Steven Hiser, Sr., 58, of Richmond, died Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Ray County Memorial Hospital.

Jeffrey was born on June 8, 1960, at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, to George L. and Phyllis J. (Luster) Hiser.  Jeffrey was first married to Carryne Huffman of Lexington, they were later divorced.  He then was married to Debbie Teegarden of Richmond, they later divorced.

Survivors include his father, George (Marcia) Hiser of Excelsior Springs and his mother, Phyllis (John) Lyon of Blue Springs; one son: Jeffrey (Kelly) Hiser, Jr. of Buckner; one daughter: Jessica (Joseph) McMillan of Richmond; one step-son: William Schmitz of Buckner; one step-daughter: Alisha (Johnny) Hopkins of Excelsior Springs; one brother Russ (Katie) Hiser of Richmond; one sister: Cindy (Frank) Maske of Lee's Summit; nine grandchildren: Boss McMillan, Nikolas McMillan, Kole Hiser, Presleigh Hiser, Maverick Hiser, Easton Strutton, Preston Hoffman, Adele Hopkins, and Justus Hopkins; his beloved friends; and his faithful companion, Chico.

He was preceded in death by his step-father: John Testrake.

Jeffrey was reared and educated in the area of his birth.  Jeff worked in construction his whole life.  He first worked for the local labor union #1290 in Kansas City doing concrete construction; he then went on to work as a heavy equipment operator and belonged to their union #101.  Jeff loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, spending time with his friends, and loved his dog Chico.  He especially loved being at his family farm, that he called paradise.
