Jennifer Sue Rader, 52, of Kansas City, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 17, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Jennifer was born on August 3, 1972, at Ray County Hospital, the daughter of James "Scott" and Leslyn Jean (Woods) Farmer.

Survivors include: her husband, Larry Rader of Kansas City; mother, Leslyn Farmer of Richmond; daughter, Caley (Ryan) Wolkey of Kansas City; son, Max (Bailey) Blair of Richmond; two grandchildren, Paisleigh Blair and Kade Blair, with one grandson on the way, Scott Wolkey; brother, Farrell (Christine) Farmer of Liberty; three aunts: Becky (Tony) Warren of Kansas City, Doris Farmer of Dallas, TX, and Marilyn Phillips of Richmond; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father, Scott Farmer, and grandparents.

Jennifer was raised and educated in Richmond, graduating from Richmond High School with the class of 1990. From a young age, she displayed a natural musical talent, enjoying both playing the piano and performing. During high school, she was an active member of the drill team and show choir, combining her love for music and dance. Jennifer had a sharp wit and a gift for writing, much like her father—though she often outshined him with her extensive vocabulary.

She built a diverse and accomplished career, working as a service manager for the small engine department at Richmond Farm and Lawn and later for Jay Wolfe Acura. She also utilized her keen intellect and organizational skills as a paralegal for several area attorneys.

Above all, Jennifer was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend, always putting her family and friends at the heart of her life. She was of the Christian faith and attended Richmond United Methodist Church with her loved ones.
