JOE DALE ALLNUTT

Joe Dale Allnutt, 67, of Rayville, MO died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home.

Joe was born on March 29, 1950 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Arnold Hugo and Juanita Marie (Swindler) Allnutt. He married Sharon Kay Kinney of Rayville on August 31, 1974. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; two sons and two daughters-in-law, TJ and Janelle Allnutt of Richmond and Jeremy and Rachel Allnutt of Rayville; one daughter, Tracy Snelling of Rayville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dean Allnutt of Hamilton, MO and Paul and Sandy Allnutt of Rayville; one sister, Claudia Conner of Prince Fredrick, MD; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Soutter (Jamie), Crystal Snelling (Austin), Garrett Allnutt, Jayden Allnutt, Amanda Allnutt, Peyton Shipley, Ashley Allnutt and Max Allnutt.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Lee (Soutter) Godinez; and one sister, Rebecca DeFore.

Joe was a career military man, who served his country in the Army for 27 years.  He held the rank of Sargent 1 st Class - Grade E-7 at the time of his retirement.  Joe was a proud Veteran of Vietnam, where he received many metals, badges, ribbons and citation's for his service over the years  including; 3 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and a Purple Heart just to list a few.  After his military service Joe operated several area service stations, which he enjoyed very much.  His memberships included; the Lawson and Richmond V. F. W's and the Richmond American Legion.  Joe enjoyed snagging trips to the Lake of the Ozarks and loved family get- together, but not the preparation beforehand, but once everyone was there he always had a great time.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Lawson or Richmond V.F.W. or the Richmond American Legion.

Friends and Family will gather to fellowship and share memories from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Military Honors will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home at the start of visitation.  Inurnment will be at a later date by the family.  Online condolences maybe left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
