JoEllen Kay (Shannon) Spooner, 61, of Henrietta, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, at Liberty Hospital.

JoEllen was born on March 13, 1963, the daughter of Larry and Bonita (Brady) Shannon.

Survivors include: son, Gabriel Williams of Hannibal; three daughters: Melody (William) DeCoudres of Liberty, Amy Spooner (Eddie Pearon) of Richmond, and Stephanie Trisler of Richmond; five grandchildren: Grace Trisler, Lillianne Lamar, Andrew Pearon, Bella Pearon, and Joseph Pearon; and four brothers: Larry (Jodi) Shannon, James Coleman, Shawn Shannon, and Billy Shannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

JoEllen was raised and educated in her hometown, where she developed a lifelong love for animals and a deep appreciation for family.  Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished above all.  Known for her loving, giving, and caring nature, JoEllen had a special way of making others feel at ease.  She was the kind of person who could bring a smile to your face and share a laugh, no matter the circumstance.  Her down-to-earth spirit and warm-hearted presence made her a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  JoEllen's family and friends will remember her fondly and miss her dearly.
