John Samuel Hamilton, 19 months, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Children's Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his parents and family, on April 17th, 2025, at 4:27am.

He spent much of his life battling Familial Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis and made many friends at the hospital and clinics.  Despite his tough battles he was genuinely the sweetest and most loving child.  He enjoyed people watching as he learned a lot from his observations.  Once able to bathe he quickly grew fond of water and loved bath time with his first word being "bath."  He struggled with his eating but once he found food can taste good he starting enjoying all foods.  He was our little foodie and surprised us with his variety of tastes and preferences.  He had a bright light to his personality that made everyone better for experiencing his optimism and strength.

He is survived by his parents John 'Andy' and Laura Hamilton; grandparents: LaRue and Mary Hawkins, Anna (Charlie) Keck, David Aldridge and Jeffrey Hilton; great grandmother: Norma Hamilton; Aunts and Uncles: Matt (Ashley) Hawkins, Gregory (Celena) Hawkins, Cody Aldridge, and Marissa (Brandon) Miller; and cousins: Liam, Lily, Emmarie, Ellisyn, Adam, and Beckham.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Geri Lee and Faith Maryann; great grandparents: John R. Hamilton, Lawrence and Louise Hawkins, and George and Octavia Famuliner.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at First Christian Church, Carrollton.
