JOHN WILBUR PALMER

John Wilbur Palmer, 73, of Henrietta, MO died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Center Point Hospital in Independence, MO.

John was born on July 9, 1942 in Camden, MO to John Henry Clay and Wilma (Van Oster) Palmer.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Palmer of Camden; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and David Marrant of Orrick, MO; three brothers, Melvin Palmer of Richmond, Larry Palmer of Richmond and Billy Palmer of Richmond; one sister and brother-in-law, Melba Lou and Tom Rodenburg of Henrietta; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Courtney Palmer, Samantha Palmer, Amanda and Stephen Hamm, Chris Marrant and Aaron and Jamie Marrant; and 7 great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Stella Faye.

John was a 1960 graduate from Orrick High School. He was a fork lift driver for U.S. By-Products. He was also owner and operator of Palmer's Bait Shop. He was of the Christian faith. John lived in Henrietta most of his life. He loved to hunt and fish.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the John Palmer memorial fund.

Graveside services will be Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Woodland Cemetery in Richmond. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
