Johnnie Robert O'Dell, 50, of Buckner, Missouri, entered the eternal gates of heaven on June 28, 2019.

Johnnie was born in Richmond, Missouri, to parents Raymond and Ida O'Dell on January 9, 1969

Johnnie was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church and was solid man of Christ.  He was the proud owner and operator of O'Dell and Sons, LLC and drove for Vance Brothers for 13 years.  Johnnie was a man with many hats and he wore each of them with pride.

Johnnie was a friend to everyone and never hesitated to welcome anyone into his heart or home.  He could walk into a room of strangers and leave with a room of friends.  Johnnie loved to cook, grill and loved nothing more than to bring his loved ones together for a delicious meal.  He had a big personality and loved everyone he met, and they loved him in return.  He was never without a smile and would always make sure those he cared about could have the same.

He was an incredible husband to Theresa Ann O'Dell, whom he married on December 24, 1999.  He was the proudest, most loving father to his two sons, Jacob O'Dell and Dayton O'Dell, and an amazing stepfather to son Robert Allee and daughter Ashley Vinson, as well as a loving and devoted baby brother to his five siblings.

Though he worked hard driving his rig every day to provide for his family, and very much enjoyed doing so, his biggest pride in life was being a papa to his 6 grandchildren; Carson O'Dell, Beau O'Dell, Makayla O'Dell, Cade Vinson, Ryan Allee and Harper Allee.  Johnnie was a family man who loved being surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Johnnie is survived by his wife, Theresa O'Dell, of the home; Son Jacob O'Dell (Ashley) of Higginsville, MO; Son Dayton O'Dell (Gairin) of the home; stepson Robert Allee (Stephany) of Wellington, MO; stepdaughter Ashley Vinson (Steven) of Wellington, MO; 6 grandchildren, Carson O'Dell, Beau O'Dell, Makayla O'Dell, Cade Vinson, Ryan Allee, and Harper Allee.  He is also survived by his sisters Kimberly Mace (Bobby) of Richmond, MO and Karry Fields (Matt) of Richmond, MO; Brother Rex O'Dell as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his Vance Brothers family.

Johnnie is proceeded in death by his mother Ida Jean O'Dell, father Raymond Gerald O'Dell, brothers Clint O'Dell and Jerry O'Dell, Nieces Lori O'Dell, Cherrie O'Dell, Chana O'dell; Nephews Austin O'Dell, Daylon O'Dell, Travis O'Dell, and sister-in-law Diana O'Dell.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Community Christian Center in Wellington, MO. The visitation will be from 2pm-3pm and services will be held from 3pm-4pm, with dinner to follow.
