JOYCE E.JENNINGS

Joyce Eileen Jennings, 78, of Richmond, formerly of Camden, died Monday, August 13, 2018 at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Joyce was born on May 9, 1940 in Camden the daughter of Forrest and Ora Eileen (Eaton) Schreier.  She was united in marriage to Don Leon Jennings of Wellington on October 21, 1958; he preceded her in death on October 9, 1988.

Survivors include: 4 children, Cheryl Rinkenbaugh (John) of Camden, Leonda Heathman (Edwin) of Neosho, Donald Jennings (Jill) of Richmond, and Lori Martin (Kevin) of Orrick; ½ brother Monty (Schreier) Holloway of Tulsa, OK; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, one great great-granddaughter and son-in-law Bill McElwee of Hardin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Rita McElwee, three brothers, Forrest, Robert, Sammy Jennings and one grandson Timmy Heathman.

Joyce worked at the Lake City Ammunition Arsenal for 18 years.  She is of the Christian faith and attended Henrietta Baptist Church.  She lived most of her life in Camden.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Lexington.  Joyce loved to play bingo, travel, listen to music, and go dancing.  She will be missed by her loving family.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Joyce Jennings Memorial Fund.  They can either be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main - P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in South Point Cemetery near Orrick.  Online Condolences may be left to the family at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
