JUANITA MAY HARMON
Juanita May Harmon, 98, of Richmond, MO, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mrs. Harmon was born March 6, 1910 in Morehead, KS to Walter E. and Maude Ida (Gibson) Holderby. She married Clarence Harmon of Cherryvale, KS on December 21, 1928; he preceded her in death on September 3, 1993.
Survivors include three sons and three daughters-in-law, Tom and Martha Harmon of Richmond, Emery "Ted" and Jerri Harmon of Hot Springs, AR, and Kenneth and Jane Harmon of Columbia, MO; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary and Don Cole of Richmond, and Eilene and Virgil Breshears of Lexington, MO; and one daughter-in-law, Darlene Harmon of Richmond; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sons, Jim Harmon, John Harmon and Gilbert Harmon; and one brother, Emery Crowell.
She was a member of the Henrietta First Baptist Church, Tireless Toilers Extension Club, RSVP, and a charter member of the Ray County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She had lived in Richmond most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Henrietta First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Henrietta, MO. Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Henrietta, MO. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
