JUANITA A. TRAVILLION
Juanita A. Travillion, 92, of Richmond, MO, died at 5:06 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2010, at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mrs. Travillion was born June 25, 1918 in Lawson, MO to Henderson and Myrtle (O'Dell) Nelson. She married Erven Thomas Travillion of Millville on December 17, 1941; he preceded her in death on August 30, 2007.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roy W. and Kathy Travillion of Blackshear, GA; daughter-in-law, Joan Judd 12 grandchildren: Richard Swearingin (Betty), Charles Lowery, Donna Decker (Gene), Debby Wynne (Terry), Blenda Rector (Dennis), Rodney Travillion (Christie), Roy Lee Travillion, Christy Strain, Alice Lemmons, Shelly Anderson, Denice Massey and Roland Hunnicutt; 26 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Rondall Travillion; one daughter, Lois Malone and one great granddaughter, Breinna Bolton.
Mrs. Travillion was a housewife and homemaker. She lived in Knoxville and Millville areas most of her life before moving to Richmond in 1995. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she was very active. She was also a 4-H leader and bus driver.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church or Preferred Hospice of Lexington, MO.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
