JUDITH KATHRYN "JUDY" DUNWOODIE
Judith Kathryn "Judy" Dunwoodie, 74, of Independence, MO formerly of Camden and Richmond, MO, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Monterey Park in Independence, MO.
Judy was born on December 8, 1941 in Ray County, MO to Leslie Lyon and Anna Miller (Cringan) Woods. She married Joseph Arthur "Art" Dunwoodie of Camden on September 18, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2002.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Bonita Dunwoodie of Richmond; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Katie and Curt Mansell of Lee's Summit, MO and Kari and Wade Madsen of Grand Rapids, MI; two sisters, Irene Underwood of Colleyville, TX and Diana Pulse of Joplin, MO; numerous nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren, Dane Dunwoodie and his fiancé, Ashley Mansell, Megan Harbison and her husband, Zack, Ryanne Mansell, Ryley Mansell, Kylie Madsen and Austin Madsen; and one great-granddaughter, Blakely Harbison; with an honorable mention of Royetta Snider Ealba of Royal Oak, MI.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by four brothers, Leslie Jr, Woods, Clell Woods, Eugene Woods and David Woods; and one sister, JoAnn Snider Clemens.
Judy was a former secretary for several years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, professional Chapter Laureate Epsilon Sigman. She was a member of local Red Hats Society. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Judy was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family. She was very artistic. She was a former leader of the Camden 4-H Club. Judy had lived her entire life in the Richmond area before moving to Independence in 2015.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Camden United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
