JULIA MAXINE (MOHN) MALLOTT, STEINMEIER, HOYT

Julia Maxine Hoyt, 86, of Chillcothe, MO died at 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Livingston Manor Care Center in Chillicothe, MO.

Maxine one of twin girls was born on August 2, 1928 in Norborne, MO to Cramer William Jefferson and June Victoria (Frazier) Mohn. She married Danny Seek on May 17, 1947. One son was born to this union, Danny Eugene. This marriage ended. April 5, 1953 she married Cecil John "CJ" Mallott of Lexington, MO. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1991. On May 21, 1994 she married George Alvin Steinmeier of Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1998. She met and married Myron Paul Hoyt of Chillicothe, MO on January 1, 1999. He survives of the home.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Eugene Mallott of Osage Beach, MO, Cecil Kent Mallott and his fiancé, Jenny of Independence, MO and Dennis Gregory Mallott and his wife, Connie of Independence, MO; two daughters, June Rachelle Newham and her husband Dudley of Norborne, MO and Donna Jo Vance and her significant other William K. "Whitey" White of Higginsville, MO; one step-son, Eddie Hoyt and his wife, Mary of Olathe, Ks, one step-daughter, Connie Chapman and her husband, Jim of Chillicothe, Mo. 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren;6 step-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by four brothers, Rusty Mohn, Forrest Mohn, Bobby Mohn and Fred Mohn; three sisters, Mildred Pritchard, her twin sister, Nadine Case and Georgia Lee Mohn, who died in infancy; and one granddaughter, Ashlie Rachelle Armstrong.

Maxine worked as a LPN in Lafayette, Ray and Clay Counties for over 30 years. She was a delegate for the Missouri State LPN Association. She also continued to volunteer for several years after her retirement. Maxine lived in Richmond most of her life before moving to Chillicothe in 1999. She was a member of the Barry Road Christian Church and the Richmond Auxiliary Club.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Free Methodist Church of Chillicothe or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
